SACRED ANOINTING

AGREEMENT AND LIABILITY WAIVER
Effective August 10, 2026

This Agreement is between Elise Bowerman, LLC, doing business as Birth Humanity ("Birth Humanity"), including Elise Bowerman as the practitioner ("Practitioner"), and the adult purchasing, booking, or participating in an Anointing Experience ("Client").

By purchasing, booking, electronically accepting, or participating in an Anointing Experience, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to this Agreement.

1. THE ANOINTING EXPERIENCE

The Anointing Experience is a voluntary, nonclinical, spiritual, and ceremonial wellness experience. Based upon the Client's preferences, it may include conversation, intention setting, prayer, spiritual reflection, silence, music, breath awareness, aromatic oils, the external application of diluted essential or carrier oils, and gentle ceremonial bodywork.

Ceremonial bodywork may include the gentle placement or movement of the Practitioner's hands, holding, and anointing of body areas discussed with the Client. It does not include kneading, deep pressure, stretching, manipulation of muscles or soft tissue, treatment of pain or injury, or attempts to increase range of motion.

The Anointing Experience is not massage therapy, medical or nursing care, physical therapy, psychotherapy, mental-health counseling, trauma treatment, crisis intervention, nutrition care, legal or financial advice, or coaching. The Practitioner does not diagnose conditions, prescribe or change medications, direct treatment, or promise a particular result.

Any spiritual, sacred, energetic, ritual, or intuitive language used during the Experience reflects a ceremonial framework and matters of personal belief. It is not intended as a medical or scientific claim.

2. CHOICE AND BOUNDARIES

Every element of the Anointing Experience is optional. Agreeing to participate does not require the Client to receive every element offered.

The Client may decline or modify any part of the Experience and may ask the Practitioner to pause or stop at any time. Any such request will be honored immediately. The Practitioner may also modify, pause, or end the Experience if continuing appears unsafe, inappropriate, or inconsistent with the boundaries of the offering.

The Client will ordinarily remain clothed. Any area made accessible for anointing will be voluntary and appropriately covered when needed.

The Experience is entirely nonsexual and does not include touching the breasts, nipples, genitals, anus, or buttocks. The upper chest above breast tissue may be anointed only after the Client gives specific verbal permission during that session.

The Client agrees to communicate any pain, burning, itching, breathing difficulty, dizziness, nausea, emotional overwhelm, discomfort, unwanted reaction, or boundary concern as soon as possible.

3. HEALTH INFORMATION AND OIL SAFETY

The Client agrees to share information reasonably relevant to scent exposure, topical products, touch, positioning, or emotional safety. This includes known allergies or sensitivities; asthma or respiratory conditions; migraines; pregnancy, possible pregnancy, breastfeeding, or postpartum status; skin conditions or open wounds; recent procedures; medications or medical conditions; reduced sensation; and known touch or emotional triggers.

The Client confirms that the information provided is complete and accurate to the best of their knowledge and agrees to disclose relevant changes before participating. The Client also confirms that they are not impaired by alcohol, cannabis, medication, or another substance in a way that prevents clear decision-making.

The Practitioner may ask general screening questions but does not determine whether participation is medically safe. If the Client is uncertain about participating, pregnant, experiencing symptoms, or receiving medical or mental-health care, the Client agrees to consult an appropriately licensed professional beforehand.

All aromatic and topical products are optional and intended for external use only. Products will not be intentionally ingested or applied to the eyes, inside the ears, mouth, or nose, on mucous membranes, or on broken skin.

Essential oils and other aromatic or topical products can cause an unexpected reaction even when diluted or previously tolerated. Possible reactions include irritation, burning, itching, rash, sensitization, allergic or respiratory symptoms, headache, migraine, nausea, dizziness, or photosensitivity. Products may also interact with an existing condition or medication.

Birth Humanity cannot guarantee that a product or environment is allergen-free or free from trace cross-contact. Oils may stain clothing, linens, jewelry, or other personal property and may create slippery surfaces.

4. CONVERSATION AND OPTIONAL GUIDANCE

Conversation may take place before, during, or after the Anointing Experience. The Practitioner may listen, ask reflective questions, share a personal, spiritual, or intuitive perspective, provide general educational information, suggest a resource, or offer an idea for the Client to consider.

This conversation is not coaching, counseling, psychotherapy, trauma treatment, crisis care, or other professional advice. It is not a structured process of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, goal setting, strategy, or accountability.

Any reflection, observation, resource, idea, or suggestion is offered as an invitation for the Client's consideration. It is not an instruction, directive, diagnosis, individualized professional recommendation, or representation that a particular decision or action is safe, appropriate, or effective for the Client.

The Practitioner has access only to the information the Client chooses to share and cannot evaluate the Client's complete medical, psychological, relational, legal, financial, or personal circumstances.

The Client remains solely responsible for deciding whether and how to act upon anything discussed. The Client agrees to use independent judgment and consult an appropriately qualified professional before making decisions involving health, medication, pregnancy, mental health, personal safety, legal rights, finances, another person's welfare, or any matter requiring professional expertise.

These limitations also apply to any follow-up email, text message, handout, link, referral, or resource provided in connection with the Experience.

5. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

The Client understands that the Anointing Experience may involve known, unknown, foreseeable, and unpredictable risks. These may include reactions to scents or topical products; physical discomfort related to touch, positioning, temperature, or remaining still; headache, dizziness, nausea, fainting, fatigue, or aggravation of a known or unknown condition; emotional activation, memories, grief, anxiety, crying, vulnerability, disappointment, or temporary distress; misunderstanding or discomfort involving touch, boundaries, spiritual language, or conversation; and slips, trips, falls, staining, property damage, or other accidental injury.

The Client knowingly and voluntarily accepts and assumes the risks associated with participating, including risks arising from the ordinary negligence of a Released Party, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

RELEASE OF ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE: To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, the Client, on behalf of the Client and the Client's heirs, estate, personal representatives, and assigns, knowingly and voluntarily releases and forever discharges Elise Bowerman, LLC, doing business as Birth Humanity; Elise Bowerman; and their employees, independent contractors, assistants, agents, successors, assigns, hosts, and the owners or operators of premises used for the Experience ("Released Parties") from claims or liability for bodily injury, illness, allergic or adverse reaction, emotional distress, death, property damage, economic loss, or other harm arising out of or relating to the Client's presence at or participation in the Anointing Experience.

This release includes claims arising from touch, aromatic or topical products, positioning, conversation, reflections, suggestions, resources, facilities, or conditions at the session location. It also includes claims caused in whole or in part by the ordinary negligence of a Released Party, including a failure to use reasonable care.

The Client agrees not to file or maintain a claim against a Released Party concerning a matter released by this Agreement.

This Agreement does not release liability for gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct, intentional wrongdoing, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be waived.

7. PRIVACY, EMERGENCIES, AND RESULTS

Birth Humanity intends to treat personal conversations with care and reasonable discretion. However, communications are not legally privileged, and Birth Humanity does not represent that it is a HIPAA-covered healthcare provider.

Information may be disclosed with the Client's permission, when reasonably necessary to administer the service, when required or permitted by law, or in good faith to address a serious and imminent safety concern.

Neither the Client nor the Practitioner may photograph, audio-record, or video-record the Experience without the other party's prior permission. Acceptance of this Agreement does not authorize Birth Humanity to publish or use the Client's name, image, voice, story, or testimonial.

If the Practitioner reasonably believes urgent assistance may be necessary, the Client authorizes the Practitioner to pause the Experience, contact emergency services, and share information reasonably necessary to request assistance. The Anointing Experience is not an emergency or crisis service.

Experiences and results vary. No physical, emotional, relational, financial, or spiritual outcome is promised. Payment is for the Practitioner's time and the Experience offered, not for a particular result.

8. GENERAL TERMS

This Agreement applies only to Clients who are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this Agreement.

Birth Humanity's Terms of Sale separately govern payment, scheduling, cancellations, refunds, dispute resolution, and other purchasing terms.

This Agreement is governed by Michigan law. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be narrowed or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

By accepting this Agreement, the Client confirms that they understand the nature of the Anointing Experience, have had an opportunity to ask questions, voluntarily accept the described risks and boundaries, release ordinary-negligence claims to the fullest extent permitted by law, and remain responsible for their personal decisions and actions.
